1. Who We Are

RageOff is an independent mobile application. For any privacy-related questions, you can contact us at the email address at the bottom of this page.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect as little data as possible. Here is exactly what happens:

Data stored only on your device:

• Session logs — the mode used (Panic, Filter, Coach, Reflect), rage scores, timestamps, and short session summaries. This data never leaves your phone unless you explicitly choose to share it.
• Mood check-in scores
• Weekly insights cache
• Onboarding completion status
• Subscription status

Data sent to our AI provider:

• When you use Filter, Coach, or Reflect, the text you type or speak is sent to an AI language model to generate responses. This text is processed in real time and is not stored by us after the response is returned.
• We use Anthropic (Claude API) as our AI provider. Their privacy policy applies to data processed through their service.

3. What We Do Not Collect

• No name, email, or personal account information
• No location data
• No contacts or address book access
• No camera access
• No browsing history or tracking across other apps
• No advertising identifiers
• No biometric data

4. Microphone Access

RageOff requests microphone access only to enable optional voice input in the Filter, Coach, and Reflect screens. You can type instead of speaking at any time. We do not record, store, or transmit audio. Speech is converted to text on your device or through your device's speech recognition service and the resulting text is processed as described above.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

RageOff offers a monthly and yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial. All billing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not see, store, or process your payment information at any point. Subscription management, cancellation, and refunds are handled through your App Store or Google Play account settings.

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives anonymised subscription events (e.g. trial started, subscription renewed) but does not receive any personally identifiable information from us.

6. Third-Party Services

RageOff uses the following third-party services:

• Anthropic (Claude API) — AI language model for generating responses in Coach, Filter, and Reflect. Text you enter is sent to Anthropic's servers for processing. See Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
• RevenueCat — Subscription management. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — App distribution and billing. Their respective privacy policies apply.

7. Data Security

All session data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and is protected by your device's built-in security. We do not operate servers that store your personal session data. Text sent to the AI provider is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.

8. Children's Privacy

RageOff is not directed at children under the age of 13. The app is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used this app and provided information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

9. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personally identifiable information and all your session data is stored on your device, you have full control over your data at all times. You can delete all app data by uninstalling RageOff from your device. If you are in the EU or UK, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, and delete your data. Since we hold no personal data about you, these rights are automatically satisfied by the nature of our design.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of RageOff after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We will notify users of significant changes through the app where possible.
